Oregon State System of Higher Education. Committee on High School Relations.

The Committee on High School Relations was formed in 1934 in response to confusion among high school students in Oregon about academic and degree programs at the Oregon State System of Higher Education (OSSHE) institutions after the formation of OSSHE and reorganization of higher education in Oregon in the early 1930s. E.B. Lemon, Oregon State College Registrar, was chair of the committee and D.V. Poling was the High School Visitor for the OSSHE during the 1930s and 1940s. The Committee coordinated and administered contacts between the OSSHE institutions and high schools and the recruitment of high school students through visits to Oregon high schools, regional conferences, and the offering of state scholarships.
