Founded 1899 as Frankenmuth Brewing Co.; during prohibition closed from 1918-1924; in 1924 renamed Frankenmuth Products Company; in 1933 renamed Frankenmuth Brewing Co.; in 1954 became part of International Breweries, Inc.; in 1956 became part of Carling Brewing Company; from 1979-1990 known as G. Heileman Brewing Company.
