Assistant librarian at Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pennsylvania; became acquainted with Theodore Roethke and Vance Packard while each was employed at the University, where she also met library employee Katherine Stokes, a lifelong friend of Roethke, and William Werner, who was at one time Knoll's professor.
