The Committee on Preparation for Postwar missions made it first report to the Southern Baptist Convention is 1942. The Committee was to offer recommendations to the SBC to meet "the tremendous need and great opportunity" of the post World War II period. H. H. Hargrove of Texas served as chairman of the committee.
