Fox, Michael W., 1937-....
Veterinarian, educator, and animal welfare activist. Michael Wilson Fox, born in England, received a B.A. in Veterinary Medicine from the Royal Veterinary College (1967); a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine (1967) and Doctor of Science degree in Ethology/Animal Behavior (1976) from the University of London. He worked as a Research Associate (1964-1967) at the State Research Hospital in Galesburg, IL and as an Assistant Professor (1967-1976) in Psychology at Washington University.
He currently serves as Director at the Institute for the Study of Animal Problems, and as Scientific Director of the Humane Society of the United States.
