Edmonds, Frank Norman, Jr., 1919-1986.

Frank Norman Edmonds, Jr. was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1919. He attended Princeton University and served in World War II. After receiving his doctorate (University of Chicago, 1950), and spending two years at the University of Missouri, Edmonds joined the University of Texas faculty and remained there until his retirement in 1984. He died in 1986.
