New Era Movement
New Era Movement was erected in 1918 by a General Assembly Committee (New Era Committee) to foster cooperation among and unity of Presbyterian boards and agencies, synods and presbyteries, and local congregations. By 1920 its focus had changed to promoting Christian life, service and stewardship. It also oversaw the Committee to administer the Fund for Returning Soldiers and Sailors and was closely related to the Interchurch World Movement.
