Dakota and Great Northern Townsite Company

The company was incorporated in 1906 to purchase and manage land for townsites and other purposes. It owned extensive townsite properties in northern North Dakota and also held lands in trust for the Great Northern in North Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The company liquidated its unsold holdings during 1940-1941, selling all assets to GN. The corporation was officially dissolved in 1948.
