Gibson, Emily, suffragette.
Emily Gibson came to New Zealand from Ireland in 1891 and was prominent in Auckland in the suffrage movement and in later women's organisations. She was an active social reform campaigner and a journalist. Her affiliations were first with the Women's Political League and later in the Labour Party.
