Thornbrough, Emma Lou
An Indianapolis native, Emma Lou Thornbrough was a pioneer among professional historians focusing on African-American history. She wrote numerous articles and books, many dealing with African-Americans in Indiana history, and was a professor emeritus at Butler University.
