Grovenor, Gurdon
Gurdon was a Lawrence businessman. Was a member of the City Council 1860-61, member of the school board 1863-4. Was elected mayor in 1865, reelected in 1870 and 1871, cf. U. S. Biographical Dictionary, Kansas, p.200.
