Ringgold, George Hay, 1814-1864
Born in Hagerstown, Md., 1833 U.S Military Academy graduate, served in Pay Department during Mexican War, in charge of paymasters of the Department of the Pacific from 1861 till his death; accomplished scholar, draughtsman, and painter.
