Rostopchin, F. V. (Fedor Vasilʹevich), 1763-1826
Fedor Vasilʹevich Rostopchin was the governor general of Moscow during the Napoleonic invasion of 1812. He stopped the French troops setting the city on fire. The The Moscow governor was knighted, and enjoyed long visits in Paris after the war.
