Glazier, Henry S., 1868-1939
Henry Simon Glazier was born in San Francisco, California on December 17, 1868 to Simon William and Clara (May) Glazier. He received his A.B. from Harvard in 1889 and his A.M. in 1890. While at Harvard, Glazier was a member of the Conférence Française de l'Université Harvard. In 1906 he married Rena Jacobi and they had two sons, Simon William, 2nd (1907) and Henry Simon (1910). Glazier was a bond and stock broker with the firm Herzog & Glazier, Brokers in New York City. During World War I he served as a major in the Construction Division of the Army. He later managed his family's Elmira Ranch in Solano, California until it was sold in 1935. Glazier died in 1939.
