Weinblatt, Alan W.
Alan W. Weinblatt attended the University of Minnesota, earning a bachelor's degree in 1965 and a law degree in 1968. He was admitted to the Minnesota bar in 1968, and to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1972. He was a member of the St. Paul law firm of Weinblatt and Gaylord, where his primary areas of practice were new business start-up (entrepreneurship), real estate development, and campaign finance and election law. He represented the Democratic Farmer Labor Party and its candidates for many years. Weinblatt was a member of the board of directors (1971-1976) and president (1973-1975) of Ramsey Couty Legal Assistance; District Court Commissioner, Dakota County (1979-1982); president of the Anti Defamation League (1983-1985); a member of the board of trustees of the American Jewish Historical Society (1994-1999); and Minnesota State Advisory Committee Chairman of U.S. Civil Rights Commission (1998- ).
