Milligan, Edward W., 1869-1964.

Edward William Mulligan was a Denver, Colo. business executive of the W.H. Kistler Stationery Co. and amateur historian. He authored historical articles for magazines and was a member of several historical and genealogical organizations including the Colorado Historical Society and the Colorado Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Mulligan was also responsible for proposing that Denver have a municipal city flag (1926) and for erecting historic markers at Montana City (1924) and Dry Creek (1927) to commemorate the finding of gold by the Russell party and the building of the first log cabins in the region during the 1850s.
