Franklin, Abraham M., 1857-1932.
Pioneer Tucsonans; brothers Abraham and Selim came to Tucson in 1876 to join their uncles, Lionel and Barron Jacobs, in their mercantile and banking business. A.M. Franklin was a supervisor of Graham County and a commissioner of immigration in Maricopa County. Selim Franklin was a lawyer, Deputy District Attorney for Pima County, member of the 13th territorial legislative assembly, and author of the bill that created the University of Arizona.
