Loughborough family.
James M. Loughborough was born in 1833 at or near the town of Frankfort, Ky. He married Mary Webster (b. 28 Aug. 1835) on 10 Nov. 1859 in St. Louis, Mo. He died 31 July 1876, and his wife on 26 Aug. 1887. They had six children: Julia Webster, Jean Moore, Mary, Hope Fairfax, James Fairfax, and St. James Noble. James M. Loughborough was a lawyer. His father, John Loughborough, was Surveyor General of the United States for the District of Illinois and Missouri. Mrs. James M. Loughborough wrote My Cave Life in Vicksburg, an account of her personal experiences during the Civil War siege of Vicksburg, which includes some transcripts of Civil War letters. James Fairfax Loughborough was born 17 Feb. 1873 in Little Rock, Ark. He was an attorney in Little Rock. He married Louisa Watkins Wright (b. 23 Jan. 1881) on 21 Oct. 1902. Louisa Watkins Wright Loughborough was the first chairman of Arkansas's Territorial Restoration. James Fairfax Loughborough died on 11 Mar. 1945, and Louisa Watkins Wright Loughborough died on 10 Dec. 1962.
