The Long-Term Sheltered Employment (LTSE) Program was regulated by the Economic Security Department, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 129A. The program provided for paid employment for severely handicapped persons who are unable to meet production standards required in competitive employment. After 1984, the program continued under the auspices of the Rehabilitation Services Division of the Department of Jobs and Training.
