Hope, Thomas Charles, 1766-1844
Hope taught chemistry at the University of Edinburgh from 1795 to 1843; Daniel Rutherford was appointed regius professor of botany, University of Edinburgh, in 1786; Andrew Duncan was professor of physiology at University of Edinburgh, from 1790 to 1821.
