Vangelisti, Paul.
Los Angeles poet, translator, and editor. Vangelisti was educated at the University of San Francisco (BA 1967) and the University of Southern California (MA 1970). Since 1971, he has been involved in several publishing and editing projects in the Los Angeles area; among them are publication of the poetry magazines Invisible city, Boxcar, Forehead, Lowghost, and Ribot. Vangelisti has edited anthologies of Italian and Polish poetry and three anthologies of Los Angeles poetry: Specimen '73, Anthology of L.A. poets, and L.A. Exiles. He produced numerous broadcasts of literary adaptations for Pacifica Radio (KPFK-FM) in Los Angeles. His own published books of poetry include Air, Portfolio, Villa, Rime, and Nemo. He is currently the chair of the MFA writing program at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles.
