Brown, Ivan W.
The 65th General Hospital, a Duke-affiliated medical unit, was stationed near Botesdale, England during World War II from 1944 to 1945. The hospital was a designated specialty center for neurosurgery, thoracic and plastic surgery, burns, and hand injuries. Leo Alexander, a unit physician, later acted as a consultant to prosecutors in the Nuremberg Trials.
