Harvard College (1780- ). Dean of Admissions and Financial Aids.

The Office of the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aids existed from 1952 to 1971, and included the Financial Aid Center, the Admission Office, and the Freshman Scholarship Office. The Director of Financial Aid administered the Financial Aid Center (renamed Financial Aid Office ca. 1957) and was responsible for the entire financial aid program for students after they entered the College. This included the awarding of upperclass scholarships, Beneficiary Aid, student employment and loans. The following individuals served as Director of Financial Aid: W. McDonald (1956-1964) and Peter K. Gunness (1964- ).
