Hayes, Mary Miller, 1856-1935

Businesswoman, philanthropist, and civic leader, of Fremont, Ohio; daughter of Anson H. and Nancy (Otis) Miller; married Samuel Brinkerhoff, banker, businessman, and justice of the peace; after his death in 1906, married Webb Cook Hayes, second son of Rutherford B. and Lucy (Webb) Hayes, with whom she made many trips to various places throughout the world; worked with YMCA and Red Cross in France during World War I.
