Land Group, Inc.
The Land Group was formed in August 1996 by Isaac Camacho and Jerry H. Williams. In October 1996 the Land Group bought out Botsford Land Surveying Inc. Both companies surveyed land in New Mexico and West Texas. Jim Botsford had founded a company called B and M Surveys in 1975 with surveyor Jorge Moy, who had worked for the Donald Wiese Surveying Company. In 1984 Moy began his own company, Moy Surveying Inc. and Botsford continued on with Botsford Land Surveying Inc. The Land Group provided engineering and construction management services in addition to surveying. In 2000 the company closed down and its members went to work in other surveying and engineering businesses. Jerry Williams runs a private firm in Las Cruces and Isaac Camacho works at Brock and Bustillos in El Paso. Another surveyor who had been worked with Botsford, Gilbert Chavez, currently serves as City Surveyor for Las Cruces. Source: Profile: Surveying business sold after 21 years.
