Princeton University. President's Standing Committee on the Status of Women.

The President's Standing Committee on the Status of Women was established in 1989 by president Harold Shapiro. The organization's purpose is to serve the greater University community by advising the President about issues of concern to women, to develop and recommend strategies for addressing these issues, and to review University policies and procedures in terms of their impact on women. Biweekly staff, monthly staff, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students are all represented on the committee, which oversees a number of task forces dedicated to specific issues.
