Dryden, George Bascomb, 1869-1959.

Inventor of rubber horseshoe pads and founder of the rubber company that produced them in Chicago, also early friend and business partner of Harvey Firestone, government advisor for over 25 years on chemical warfare, member of the board of directors of Evanston Hospital, trustee of the Eastman House in Rochester, NY and responsible for the building of the Dryden Theatre there. Married to Ellen Andrus, niece of George Eastman.
