Utah. Secretary of State
HISTORICAL NOTE:: In 1907 the Legislature implemented an annual license tax for corporations. The fee was payable on or before the 15th of November each year at the Office of the Secretary of State. the Secretary of State in turn deposited the monies with the State Treasurer and issued the corporation a certificate of compliance. The fee schedule was base on the amount of authorized capital stock.
