Coordinating Board of Jewish Organizations

The Coordinating Board of Jewish Organizations was founded in 1947 to serve the United Nations as an advisory board for Jewish organizations in all parts of the world. The Coordinating Board of Jewish Organizations (CBJO) has the special United Nations advisory status of a Non-Governmental Organization and plays an important role as a subgroup of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

The CBJO acted as a consultative committee on such diverse topics as has been active on the issues of peace, human rights, youth, terrorism, the environment, and the establishment of an International Criminal Court.
