Cockrell, Monroe F. (Monroe Fulkerson),

Monroe Fulkerson Cockrell (1884-1972) lived in Evanston, Illinois, and served as Vice President of the Continental and Illinois National Bank and Trust Company in Chicago. He was also a Civil War historian and genealogist and wrote numerous books, including "History of Early Dallas" (1944), "Gunner with Stonewall: Reminiscences of Thomas Poague" (1957), and "The Early Cockrells in Missouri" (1966).
