French, George W. (George Washington), 1882-1970

George French was born in Parsonsfield, Me., and photographed Maine people and scenes. He worked as a professional photographer in New Jersey and also for the Maine Development Commission from 1936-1955. Fred C. Philpot was born in Limerick, Me., and worked as a professional photographer in the Sanford, Springvale, Limerick, Cornish, and Milton Mills areas between ca. 1875-1925.
