Educator and homemaker; born Arousiag Stephanian to Armenians in Turkey, ca. 1908; added the name Joy upon coming to the United States, 1925; educated at Wheaton College, 1928-1932; trained teachers in Lebanon, 1938-1948; married, 1939; moved to the United States with her husband Dicran, 1948; died iin 1977. Dicran Kassouny: medical doctor, pastor; born in Marash, Turkey, 1910; educated at Robert College (Istanbul), American University (Beirut), Near East School of Theology (Beirut), and University of Pennsylvania; died in 1979.
