McGeer, Gerald Grattan, 1888-1947
Gerald McGeer, a lawyer and politician, was Counsel for the B.C. government in the Western Freight Rates Case in the 1920s. He represented Richmond (1916-1920) and Vancouver-Burrard (1933) as MLA in the Provincial Legislature. Elected as Mayor of Vancouver in 1934, he also served as an MP for Burrard (1935-1945) and was appointed a Senator in 1945.
