Haddock, Frederick Agustus, 1829-1892.

Developer of turpentine trade in Williamsburg District, S.C.; a native of North Carolina, "Gus" Haddock settled near Black Mingo Creek along the Georgetown-Williamsburg county line; other business interests included river dredging, leather tannery, and a distillery; summer of 1863, Haddock enlisted in 7th South Carolina Cavalry, Co. A; killed by falling tree, 22 Oct. 1892.
