Scott, Billy, 1923-2004
Author, songwriter, poet, children's author, biographer, folklorist, radio script writer, and historian. Contributor to literary publications such as the Overland; Bulletin; Quadrant; Folklore round table (USA); Reading folklore; Dear Mr Thoms (Great Britain). Won the Mary Gilmore award in 1964 and Literary Board Grants in 1976, 1979 and 1981. Married to author Mavis Scott.
