Columbus Memorial Association of St. Paul

Founded in 1929 as the St. Paul Chapter of the Columbus Memorial Association, the organization became incorporated in 1945 as the Columbus Memorial Association of St. Paul (Minn.). Its main objectives are "to maintain, perpetuate, and, if necessary, defend the historical accomplishments of Christopher Columbus, Discoverer of America." The organization seeks to maintain October 12 as an official holiday and supports local events celebrating Columbus.
