Miller, Herbert Adolphus, 1875-1951

Herbert A. Miller was a politically active educator born in 1875. Miller taught at Ohio State until controversy over his participation in Gandhi's campaign for independence caused his dismissal. During the early 20th century Miller was active in the struggle for independence in Czechoslovakia, and throughout his life he worked on human rights issues. Miller taught at Temple Univ. late in his career and at Black Mountain College inNorth Carolina during the late 1940s.
