Fort Ticonderoga, Museum, (N.Y.)
Fort Ticonderoga was built by the French in 1755, taken by English in 1759 who kept small garrison there until 1775 when it was taken by Ethan Allen's troops; it was used as a base by Benedict Arnold, 1776-1777.
