Robinson, William C. (William Callyhan), 1834-1911
William C. Robinson was born in Norwich, Connecticut, on July 26, 1834. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1854, and the General Theological Seminary, New York, in 1857. After about five years of work in the active ministry, Robinson studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1864. He practiced law in New Haven, Connecticut, and was an instructor (1869-1872) and professor (1872-1896) at the Yale Law School. He published numerous works and headed the law department at Catholic University (1896-1911). Robinson died on November 6, 1911.
