Wisbech Local Peace Association
Founded ca. 1879 as Wisbech Women's Local Peace Association; founder, Priscilla H. Peckover; by 1882 its name had been changed to Wisbech Local Peace Association; promoted the development of women in work for peace; worked to establish peace by means of arbitration and disarmament; its condemnation of war was based on Christian theology.
