Indiana University. Office of Undergraduate Development

The Office of Undergraduate Development was created in 1959 by President Herman B Wells.

It was responsible for encouraging the development of the University's undergraduate program and to keep it in balance with the over-all growth of the institution. The Vice President and Dean coordinates the work of several offices, a few of which are the Junior Division, Honor's Division, Division of Student Personnel, and the Office of Records and Admission. Samuel E. Braden served as the first Vice President and Dean and remained in that position until 1967.
