Caulfield, Ernest, 1893-
Born in New Haven, Caulfield received his medical degree at Johns Hopkins in 1920. He lectured at Yale and practiced pediatrics in Hartford until sometime in the 1950s. His research on death in early New England led to his avocational interest in and research on gravestone art.
