Pellowski, Anne.
Anne Pellowski was born in Pine Creek, WI, in 1933. She earned a B. A. from the College of St. Teresa in Winona, MN, and an M. S. L. S. with honors from Columbia University in 1959. After several jobs as a children's librarian and English instructor, she began working for the U. S. Committee for UNICEF as director of the Information Center on Children's Cultures. Her books on story telling and her children's literature surveys stem from her career interests. In addition, her "Four Farms" series is based on her family's history of five generations of Polish American children on a Wisconsin farm.
