Clark, Esther Bridgman.
Pediatrician. Dr. Clark, a 1921 graduate of Stanford University, received her M.D. from Stanford University Medical School in 1925. She was the first pediatrician in Palo Alto when she began her practice there in 1927 and a founding partner of the Palo Alto Medical Clinic. She joined the clinical faculty of the Medical School at Stanford in the 1930s; in 1953 she established the Children's Health Council. She retired from medicine at the age of 72 to pursue interests in travel and photography. She was the daughter of Arthur B. Clark, Stanford's first art professor.
