Parkinson, Elizabeth
On September 29, 1843, commissioners of the Republic of Texas concluded a treaty with representatives of nine Indian tribes at Bird's Fort on the Trinity River just north of present-day Arlington, Texas. The treaty was ratified by the Texas Senate on Jan. 31, 1844.
