Missionary, educator, scholar; born Gustav Hugo Wilbert Norton, 1915; educated at Wheaton College, Columbia Bible College, Northern Baptist Theological Seminary; minister ordained in the Evangelical Free Church; missionary to the Belgian Congo; president of Trinity College and Seminary; dean of Wheaton College Graduate School; founder and principal of ECWA Seminary in Jos, Nigeria; a leader and speaker in several Christian organizations, including the missions program of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.
