Murray family.

Terence Aubrey Murray (1810-1873) came to Australia from Ireland and took up land in the Canberra district. He owned Yarrowlumla, which is now Government House in Canberra, held office in the N.S.W. Legislative Assembly and was knighted in 1869. His son, George Gilbert Aime Murray (1866-1957) was Professor of Greek at Glasgow and Oxford, Chairman of the League of Nations (1922-1938) and helped found the United Nations Association. Hubert Murray (1861-1940) was Lt. Gov. of Papua (1908-1940).
