Fox, Silas F. (Silas Fowler), 1893-
Missionary and evangelist; born on December 22, 1893 in Josephsburg, AB; converted, 1912; graduated from Toronto Bible College, 1916; served in Telegu-speaking India with Ceylon and India General Missions, 1917-1924; continued to work in India as an independent missionary and evangelist, 1925-1968; established Christian newspaper in India and served as editor; known for his use of flamboyant methods (using magic lanterns slides and sandwhich boards) to attract attention to the Gospel; married Emma Grau, 1916, and had six children.
