Thomasma, David C., 1939-....
Born in Chicago in 1939, Dr. Thomasma graduated from Sturgis High School, Sturgis, Michigan, in 1957. He received a B.S. from Aquinas College, Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1961; and a B.A. in 1964 and M.A. and Ph. L in 1965 from the Aquinas Institute, River Forest, Illinois. In 1972 he received his Ph. D. in Philosophy from the Catholic University of America. Dr. Thomasma became the director of the Medical Humanities Program at Loyola's Stritch School of Medicine in 1981. He has written numerous articles and books concerning the issues of faith and technology, euthanasia, death, the docotr-patient relationship, and more.
