Allen, Bardene, 1933-

Sculptor; gallery owner; Laguna Beach, California. Bardene Allen studied in the 1950s with Frederick Hammersley at Pomona College She is an artist and former owner of the Fine Arts Gallery in Laguna Beach, California (1980-1983). She has worked in stone, wood, resin, and bronze; current works are large terracotta figures polychromed with unfired ceramic stains. Many of the figures are meant to amuse and include rock singers and musicians, cocktail part guests, beach people.
